In corporate Human Resource development perspective, employee training is essential both to employees and company where company will gain an increasing in productivity while employee will gain job satisfaction. Usually big company with many branch offices provide one centralized training center to all their employees. But with the recent economy downturn, the high costs of travel combined with increasing strained budgets force the management consider to shutdown the central training center while the company decide to focusing on the bottom core business. More big companies now are turning to develop a more cost-effective solution through online training program and elearning for their employees training courses.

The most effective ways to conduct a corporate elearning program is to let the employees get training program at their own pace through elearning training programs. Not only does this eliminate costly travel expenses but it also allows the employee to take the training on their own schedule as they are available. If an employee cannot finish the online training program in one take, they can easily come back to where they left off next time. In addition, if there is a question or a concept the employee does not understand, the online elearning system lets them review and go over materials as often as they desire.

The best part of online elearning system is most of them includes quiz and performance evaluation software at the end of the training course. The result information can be stored for future use by management to review the training weak spots in the company or make judgement over individual performance. Many times employees can re-take missed quizzes or evaluations and never be asked the same question twice thanks to the technology behind the elearning application.
