New face makeover, domain ads and expandable ads from Adsense

google-adsenseStarting by the end of 2008, Google made some agresive move thru its money making machine, Adsense. After allowing publishers putting Adsense ads on parking domain, then they did some makeover on their homepage interface, they let their ads publishers to improve their revenues through font enhancement optimization, and last week they launched a new approach to advertising method by introducing expandable ads unit.

The expandable ads will pop up when someone clicks the ad and clicks the expanded ads to go to the advertiser landing page and the publisher will earn revenue. The earn basically basedon CPC or CPM basis.So, this ad type are more likely as link unit which will earn the publishers in two-click revenue ads.

From the Google side, what they’re doing is to leveraging all their efforts to get the maximum earning thru this Adsense ads. But for us as the publishers, might this will bring more annoyance to site visitors who don’t like pop up ads. Since the revenue generated in two-click way, I am doubt that this expandable ads will make increase publishers earnings significantly. But, it’s something worth to try
