Aside from the fact that Google' is the world's most popular search engine, giving up just because your blog still haven't landed on the top results of the SERPs is a bad attitude. It's a tough competition so getting like 20-40 is already a feat (even though the traffic could be low). Then again, we should also put in mind that just because we've taken a spot on the top results, it doesn't automatically mean enormous traffic. The point is just to build up success over time. no rush neccesary, patience is the key. Forgetting traffic from Google sounds outrageous.
